What is supplied here, what is not said, and who this site is for.
For laboratory research use only; not for human or veterinary use.
Everything listed on this site is a research reference material, supplied for in vitro laboratory investigation, educational study or analytical reference. Nothing here is supplied for use in or on a human or an animal. Clause 1 below sets out what that means in statutory terms.
The same position is stated in the research-use declaration accepted at checkout, and the two are deliberately the same words. This page reproduces that declaration in full so it can be read outside the order flow.
This statement does not rescue a page that says something else. The test is the overall impression a page gives — its pictures, headings and captions included.
This is the declaration accepted by every buyer at checkout, reproduced so that the full text stays readable outside the order flow. The wording shown at the moment of signing is the wording that binds; an exact copy, and a hash of it, is stored against the order.
Records are kept for 6 years from the date of the order — the same period, and the same basis, as the order record itself (see the privacy notice).
Contents — the ten clauses below
The materials listed in this catalogue are research-grade reference materials supplied for in vitro laboratory investigation, educational study or analytical reference. They are not licensed medicines under the Medicines Act 1968 or the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, and they are not approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the European Medicines Agency or the United States Food and Drug Administration for any therapeutic, prophylactic or diagnostic indication in humans or animals.
By placing an order the Buyer confirms and undertakes that they will not:
The Buyer confirms that they are a competent adult acting in a research, educational or analytical capacity. The Buyer is solely responsible for the safe storage, handling and disposal of the materials in accordance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (“COSHH”) and any applicable institutional, occupational or local-authority protocols that apply to the Buyer’s work.
Reydeance supplies no dosing guidance, no protocol recommendations and no medical advice — whether on this website or in correspondence. Reference information published here is for general education only and is not a substitute for advice from a registered medical practitioner. The Buyer agrees not to rely on any information published or supplied by Reydeance to inform decisions about their own health or the health of any third party.
The Buyer acknowledges that misuse of these materials outside their stated research purpose may carry serious risks and may constitute a breach of UK law including, without limitation:
The materials are supplied with no warranty, express or implied, that they are safe, effective or fit for any in-vivo purpose. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 implied terms as to satisfactory quality and fitness for purpose are limited to the stated research-use purpose; they do not extend to any in-vivo, therapeutic or veterinary use.
The Buyer undertakes to keep records of the use, storage and disposal of any material supplied to them, sufficient to demonstrate compliance with this acknowledgement, and agrees to assist Reydeance in good faith with any reasonable request from the MHRA, Trading Standards, HM Revenue and Customs, or law enforcement in relation to the supply of materials to the Buyer.
The Buyer agrees to indemnify Reydeance and to hold it harmless against any claim, loss, damage, fine, criminal penalty, civil judgment or legal cost arising directly or indirectly from any breach by the Buyer of this acknowledgement, including without limitation any administration of the materials to a human or animal.
If any clause of this acknowledgement is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in full force and effect.
The Buyer’s tick of the consent box at checkout, together with the signature drawn on the canvas beside it, constitute an electronic signature within the meaning of section 7 of the Electronic Communications Act 2000 and are intended to have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature on a paper acknowledgement.
Reydeance supplies these products for laboratory research use only. We are not able to provide guidance on use, dosage or administration.
This site is for people aged 18 or over who are buying research materials for laboratory research use.
The notice shown on a first visit records that this page has been read on that device, and asks for a date of birth. That date is checked on our server, and entry is refused if it does not clear the age above; the date itself is not stored. It is still an acknowledgement rather than an age verification — the date is the one you type, and nothing checks it against any record. How this works, in full.
